NEXT THESPIAN
INDUCTIONS - DECEMBER 11th

HELLO to all of you interested in joining or learning more about our Thespian troupe!!! Our troupe is a wonderful organization run mainly by students who love theater and everything that goes along with it. Members act, sing, dance, paint and build sets, operate lighting and sound equipment, design programs, sell tickets, design, make costumes, publicize shows, act, do hair and makeup design, write, direct and much more! So if you're interested in any of the above, please contact Renee Denney . Everyone is welcome to participate, whether you've had a lot of theater experience or none at all! We work really hard to put on great performances and we have a whole lot of fun doing it.
Often times, when we ask some one who won't join theatre why not, they usually say it's because they can't act, or they have stage fright, or something along those lines. Well not to fear my friends. As with most things in the world, there is constant work going on behind the scenes. If acting isn't your bag, check out our crews.
Overall, this
is a great place for all students to learn and grow in all aspects of theater. Please browse this website to find out more about drama!
Purpose/Description: Honor organization designed for students involved in theatre. The Milton Thespian Troupe will be holding various social events as well as
hosting the One-Act Play Competition.
Criteria/Requirements/Meeting Times: Any student
involved in theatre at Milton is welcome to participate in
the
activities. All students active in theatre are eligible to become
members of the International Thespian Society. This is an Honor
association for theatre students which is run on a points system.
Students can earn 1 point for every 10 hours of work done in their
school theatre. A student must earn 10 points before being inducted
into the organization. Students who earn 60 or more points are
considered "honor" Thespians and are awarded a special medallion to
war at Graduation. All points are awarded at the discretion of the
troupe sponsor.
An easy way to meet people from Theatre and find
out information about us is to go to our
meetings, which we hold the
first Wednesday of each month, after school in our black box
theatre. These short meetings are a time when the leaders of our club give the most up-to-date announcements and help new people learn their way around. So, if you're at all interested in being a part of our International Thespian Society, please come check us out!
